After receiving a petition signed by more than 1,100 Traffic Enforcement Agents, the Police Department has decided not to change the uniform for TEAs from NYPD blue to green.
At a meeting March 31, “the executive staff was assured that there were no plans to make changes in the color or design of the current uniform of the Traffic Enforcement Agents,” according to an April 14 letter from Police Commissioner William J. Bratton to attorney Arthur Schwartz. “Agents will continue to wear the same color duty jackets, shirts, trousers, hats and insignia/patches that they presently wear.”
